BMR member numbers on bumper (a la LLR)
« on: February 09, 2007, 11:39:58 am »

One of my friends from BMC has a Legend Lime vert. She's on Legend Lime Registry. Recently she got the numbers on here bumper. They are the same style as Saleen numbers, though they are on the OTHER side (on the top of the passenger side bumper infront of the headlight). Has anyone given any thought of doing that for our cars. I saw her's and really liked the look. Have the numbers say BMR 238, or something like that, in either black or white. I'd like to hear what others think of this idea?

I've thought about that too.  Only thing against it, for me anyway, is others have already done it.  Yellow Mustang Registry has done it also.  Maybe if we think of a different place to put the number so it doesn't look as much like we're copying someone else.

I know its been done but how about window decals--the plastic sticky ones you can place then peel up and reposition if you want.  If its done right it could look good & help spread the word--just a thought :)

It may have been done already, but ppl keep doing it cause its a good idea. And it looks GOOD. Plus its kind of traditional now. Saleen started it. Everybody else is copying them.

I got a pair from TheMustangSource and put them in the glass in the back seat--looks nice & attracts attention to their site...it could really get the word out.  I like this site & want to see it grow, there's a lot of owners in clubs & such that would join up & spread the word.

I was looking into vinyl cutters and a new one is going for about $2200.  I'm going to check with some local businesses to see if I can't get an older, used one that can do the same thing.  I'm looking into doing vinyl for my race car to save money of having someone else do it so I need a vinyl cutter anyway.

I looked into vinyl cutters and they're just too expensive.  I talked to my local vinyl cutter who does my race car numbers and she said it'll probably be about $10-$15 each depending on the design and what colors and how complex it is.
